Start of the School Day

Children should arrive at school between 8:45 and 8:55a.m.

Foundation Stage 1 and 2 pupils should enter by the FS1 gate at the rear of the school. We ask that parents take their child to the door of their classroom, where the class teachers will be waiting. Mrs Bellis will be at the gate each morning to note any concerns and ensure that messages are passed on to the class teachers.

Key Stage 1 pupils (Years 1 and 2) should enter from the side of the Key Stage 1 playground. We ask that parents take their child to the main entrance, where Mrs Davis will be waiting to escort the children to their classrooms. Mrs Davis will also note any concerns and ensure that messages are passed on to the class teachers.

Key Stage 2 pupils (Years 3-6) should enter by the Key Stage 2 gate and go directly to their classrooms, where the class teachers will be waiting. A member of staff will be at the gate each morning to note any concerns and ensure that messages are passed on to the class teachers.

If parents have any URGENT matters to discuss, Mrs C. Jones (our Inclusion Manager) will be available by the main entrance at the front of school each morning.

The school gates are locked at 8:55a.m. each day. If your child arrives after this time, they will need to be taken to the school office and signed in. This will be recorded as a 'Late' on your child's attendance record. The school promotes good attendance and punctuality, which we believe is vital if children are to succeed. The Headteacher regularly reviews attendance and works with a variety of agencies to support families to improve attendance and punctuality. If you are facing challenges regarding getting your child into school on time, please seek confidential advice and support from Mrs C. Jones and the school will do all we can to help.

End of the School Day

Key Stage 1 pupils will finish at 3:15p.m. and will be brought out onto the Key Stage 1 playground. We ask parents to please wait around the inside or outside of the perimeter fence and to leave the playground area clear, to ensure the safety of the children.

Key Stage 2 pupils will finish at 3:20p.m. and will be brought out onto the Key Stage 2 playground. We ask parents to please wait around the outside of the perimeter fence to reduce congestion around the gate area, to ensure the safety of the children.
